Charcoal
Hookah charcoal includes coconut, bamboo, and quick-light versions, along with lighters and torches that help prepare the heat source.
List of products
A heat source is one of the basic elements of preparing a hookah. This category includes both natural and quick-light charcoal in different shapes, sizes, and packages. Lighters and torches for lighting them complement the selection.
Natural and quick-light heat sources
Coconut charcoal is made from coconut material and requires an external heat source to get hot. The current selection includes BlackBoss, BlackBoss PLATINUM, Coco Dud, Cocobration, Vennookah, and One Nation, among others. Charcoal made from 100% bamboo is also available.
Quick-light versions are designed to be lit directly with a flame. This group includes 35 mm diameter Carbopol discs and 38 mm RING charcoal rings. Their construction and preparation differ from natural cubes.
- Coconut cubes in several sizes
- Bamboo charcoal in rolls
- Carbopol quick-light discs
- RING format
Sizes, shapes, and package quantities
Dimensions help distinguish the formats. Coconut cubes include 26 × 26 × 26 mm, 27 × 27 × 27 mm, and 28 × 28 × 28 mm versions. The selection also includes Golden River 33 mm charcoal, Carbopol 35 mm quick-light charcoal, and the 38 mm RING version.
Packaging varies too. Examples include rolls of 5 or 10 pieces, boxes containing 48 or 54 cubes, 1 kg packs, and a larger Coco Dud version with 216 pieces weighing 3 kg in total. Carbopol bulk boxes contain 10 rolls of 10 pieces or 20 rolls of 5 rings, respectively.
Lighting and Safe Handling
Natural hookah charcoal is heated with a suitable burner or another high-temperature heat source intended for that purpose. Quick-light charcoal is started with a flame, which is why this category also includes lighters and torches. Each of these accessories has a different role from the heating material itself.
Move lit pieces with a heat-resistant tool and place them only on a nonflammable surface. Keep charcoal and lighter fuel in a dry place, away from fire and out of children's reach. Use the hookah in a well-ventilated space and never leave embers unattended.
