Lighter fluid saturates the lighter's absorbent insert, the wick draws fuel from inside and carries it to the flame area, and the flint works with the striker wheel to produce a spark. The set therefore includes supplies for three basic stages in a typical liquid-fuel lighter's operation.

The fuel is used to refill the insert regularly. The flints replace the worn component that produces the spark, while the wick replaces the part that delivers lighter fluid. Each component has a different role, making basic maintenance easier to adapt to the mechanism's condition.

Safe handling and storage
