Adapters

This group brings together connecting components and ready-made sets intended for specific tasks. An adapter or reducer changes how parts connect, while a DAB set gathers components needed for WAX, BHO, extracts, or oils. Their use is determined primarily by construction and matching dimensions, not simply a similar appearance.

A bong adapter is a connector placed between compatible parts. It may maintain the same size on both sides or act as a reducer when the design requires a transition between different standards. This category includes glass adapters with 14.5 mm / 14.5 mm and 18.8 mm / 18.8 mm connections, among others.

The two stated dimensions describe the sides of the connection, so both matter. In addition to diameter, the end type and the direction in which components connect are important. Mechanical compatibility allows parts to fit securely without forcing the connection or stressing the ground glass joint.

DAB component sets are the second actual subtype. Instead of a single connector, they offer a collection of parts intended for setups used with WAX, BHO, extracts, or oils. The current range includes an 18.8 mm set alongside 18.8 mm / 18.8 mm adapters designated for oil.

A set and an adapter alone are therefore not interchangeable terms. An adapter addresses a specific connection need, while a DAB set contains more than one part and serves to build an appropriate setup. This distinction separates a simple connecting component from a multi-piece solution.

Joint size is a basic mechanical specification but should not be read independently of part construction. The designation 18.8 mm / 18.8 mm describes the adapter's two ends, while 14.5 mm / 14.5 mm describes an equivalent connection in a smaller standard. These versions maintain the same nominal size on both sides; however, this does not mean every adapter in the group has an identical function.

The component's geometry and the parts it is intended to work with also matter. An oil adapter, an ordinary glass connector, and a DAB set meet different needs, even if some of their dimensional designations are similar.

Connect glass components without excessive pressure or twisting. Joint surfaces should be clean, as buildup can prevent proper seating or cause sticking. For cleaning, take the setup apart and choose a method suited to glass and the type of residue.

Before reassembly, components should be clean, dry, and undamaged. Do not continue placing stress on a cracked or chipped adapter, as the damage may worsen during assembly or use.
